Mr. Zacharias has served on the board of directors since June 2014 and currently serves as President of Zacharias & Co. LLC, a real estate investment and advisory firm. From March 2005 to March 2017, Mr. Zacharias served as Chief Operating Officer of W. P. Carey, Inc., a publicly traded REIT that owns and manages a global diversified portfolio of net lease assets, where he was responsible for $23 billion in real estate assets. Prior to joining W. P. Carey in 2002, Mr. Zacharias was a Senior Vice President of MetroNexus, a Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds Enterprise and was a Principal at Lend Lease Development U.S., a global real estate investment management company and subsidiary of Lend Lease Corporation. Between 1981 and 1998, he was an investment officer at Corporate Property Investors, a private equity REIT sponsored by Lazard Frères that was merged into Simon Property Group in 1998 for $5.8 billion. Mr. Zacharias received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from Yale School of Management.
